AICHI⇆ONLINE is an online art project encompassing a wide genre, including film, contemporary art, literature, manga, and music.
The project was developed amid a critical situation in which the spread of the novel coronavirus nearly blew out the light of culture and art. With artists in the field of culture and art and the people with various professional skills to support artists’ creation, we produced nine new projects and published them virtually through our website.
Even in the midst of this ever-changing disaster, we hope that the viewers enjoy each artist’s activities on our platform AICHI⇆ONLINE, which keeps the light of “creation” burning and relays it to tomorrow.
Archive on view: May 1 (Sat), 2021–March 31 (Thu), 2022

About the Logo Design
The logo design is by a designer, Ryu Mieno, active in a wide range of fields from advertising to merchandise design, and has created highly original graphics in various areas. Using “fluctuation” and “misalignment,” Mieno broke up jitai [combination of the dots and strokes that make up a kanji character] and jikei [concrete representation of jitai] and created the shape of characters before they were formed. Overlaid with the concept of unknown “tomorrow,” they exude powerful presence.
Born in Hyogo in 1988. He graduated from Graphic Design Course at Kyoto Seika University in 2011. After graduation, he began his career as a freelance graphic designer in Kyoto.
With a focus on publicity material design for art and stage productions, Meino works on graphic productions centered on text such as logos and merchandise. His major exhibitions include The 223th Exhibition, Graphic West 8: Ryu Mieno Solo Exhibition 2011-2019 “Quibble” (kyoto ddd gallery, 2019).
We’d like to express our deep gratitude to the Niimi Nankichi Memorial Museum for their considerable support in planning and holding AICHI⇆ONLINE.
